Daniel Maintains His Integrity While In Exile
For hundreds of years, the Assyrians had terrorized nations and displaced them all around the globe. During their first Jewish exile, Daniel made an impressive impression on his new enslavers. Daniel, along with his three friends, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, was specially assigned to a unique educational program to prepare them for their roles in Babylonian leadership. Daniel was good-looking, and his academic aptitude represented all that the Chaldeans valued.
Daniel learned the Chaldean language and literature fluently, but he refused to violate God’s law and his conscience by eating the king’s food. Instead, he offered a proposal, and God greatly blessed Daniel for his stand. Daniel maintained his integrity by standing for his beliefs, a recurring theme throughout the book of Daniel.

Daniel 1 verse (8) “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore, he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.”
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
No matter what your circumstances are, you (me too), with God’s help, can choose to honor God by taking a stand to obey God’s Law and His Commandments, and, like Daniel, God will promote and keep you standing victoriously in every chapter of your life.

A House Furnished in Prayer
A prayer in the morning
A prayer at noon
A prayer in the evening
A prayer late at night
A prayer before the dawn.
Pray in the kitchen.
Pray in the dining room.
Pray in the living room.
Pray in the foyer.
Pray in the study room.
Pray in the hallway.
Pray in each bedroon.
Pray in the closets.
Pray in the bathroom.
Pray in the garage, too.
Continue prayer watches.
Throughout the day
Pray throughout the night.

Be consistent, persistent, and
Relentless in prayer.
For a house furnished by prayer
Cannot be shaken. Protected!
And kept by the Sustainer and Creator
Of humanity.
God is the Defender and Helper of the
One whose house is furnished by prayer!
