Walking through The Valley of The Shadow of Death

I was running on a path where the road was being cut off.
rapidly from me. It seemed, the faster I ran…. The road
was getting shorter. Then the unthinkable happened. I was
locked in a box….in there was terrible! With zeal and
determination, I climbed up out of there into an unknown
place, where I saw many people walking in through a gate.
Heading for the gate, I was stopped by a man, but before
he could say anything to me. A message rang out loud and
distinctly….” Tell her it is not time for her to come in
here yet. ” I awakened; it was all a dream. Yet the pain was
real. The doctors had done all they could do…. I was scheduled
for another major surgery which I did not want to have….
Having been to the theater so many times before. I actually
cringed at having to go in there again. The comfort of the
word rang out from Psalm 34:19 ” Many are the afflictions of
the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. ”
At that very moment I was reminded of a trip to the Holy Land.
life changing it was until the tour guide said to the group,
” We are now going to ride through the actual place David, the
Psalmist spoke of in Psalm twenty-three…. The valley of the
shadow of death.” Looking at this place…. I was completely
horrified….it looked so dangerous, and the road was very
narrow…. seemed like there was not enough road for the bus to ride on.
I spoke up…. STOP the bus, let me off! The thing is I may
have been the only one who got off the bus. Now reality was setting
in, walking through the valley of the shadow of death is not a particular
place…. Itt is what you must walk through, and while
the doctors may have done all that they can do. Even going as
far as telling you, you only have extraordinarily little time left here on
earth. I stopped by to ask you this question. Whose report will
you believe? I am a living witness; my prognosis was not good.
Remarkably close relatives were dreaming dreams about me. They said…
” You do not have much time left. ” I grew worse, yet my faith remained
strong; and one morning I awakened during the wee hours…. did not
have enough strength….so much pain! The tugging from within
was urgent, causing me to crawl to the secret place. I heard a whisper
” Turned to Psalm 119:17 read it…. immediately my spirit within got
a hold of that word. ” You shall not die but live to declare the works
of the Lord. ” I was instructed to put this word on the wall of my
bedroom and in my bathroom. Two weeks later, I felt myself slipping
away before the scheduled surgery. I cried to the Lord….said my last
prayer, was interrupted by these words…” Turn your face to the wall…
read the word written there. ” Now verbalize it…” You shall not die,
but live to declare the works of the Lord. ” Instantly, the Word became
Spirit and the Word became life! Instantly I was healed…. I jumped up
out of the bed, ran int the bathroom…. there was the Word again…”You
shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord. ” Still went
in for the scheduled surgery…. There the doctors discovered a miraculous
healing…. his happened to me about twelve years ago.

Walking through the valley of the shadow of death, you do not have to die..
In fact, many times Yahweh (God) will show Himself mightily if you and I
would only believe! On a tour of the Holy Land, you can tell the bus driver
to stop the bus and you can get off the bus like I did; but when you are
walking through the valley of the shadow of death situations….You cannot
back up, you’ve got to walk through whatever you are faced with. The comfort
in this is your faith shall make you whole…your faith and obedience will
bring you out of the valley of the shadow of death, being made whole in
strength, provision, and blessings to bring glory and honour to HIS name !
The WORD is ringing like a bell…. Can you hear it? Read what it says….
Psalm 23:4 ” Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they
comfort me. ” Jehovah Rohi is the LORD your Shepherd…He is walking with
you as you walk through what may seem like walking through the valley of the
shadow of death…. Come on, give Him PRAISE!

The Power of Influence

joyful adult daughter greeting happy surprised senior mother in garden

One night I was feeling extremely tired and wanted to retire for the night but could not find my satin head cloth, so I inadvertently put on my hosiery, on my head instead and without even thinking about it. The next morning, my two daughters saw it and they remarked, Mommy, how is it that you have put the hosiery on your head? I replied, O mommy could not find her scarf, so I used the next best thing. Well, to my distaste behold both of my daughters soon began doing the same thing without even bothering to look for their satin caps. My response to the LORD was, Abba, Father, what have I done? He replied, the power of influence! There is a quote written by William Ross Wallace, “The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world,” and yes, this is profoundly true but today I want to candidly speak to you on the Power of Influence. How are you influencing your children and indeed think about this? The Power of Influence affects every aspect of your life. First, let us examine how Rebecca conspired with her youngest son to steal his elder brother’s birthright because she favoured him more and she was able by the Power of Influence to successfully deceive her children’s father in blessing the younger son with his elder son’s birthright under false pretense. The Power of Influence! I was summarizing this story is found in the Book of Genesis chapter twenty-five and verse twenty-eight but as we are on the eve of celebrating Mother’s Day some, how there has been a breach and mothers are not really being celebrated and respected by their children anymore. While there are notable mothers of valor far too many mothers are being in some cases abused and disrespected by their children. This must not be because the truth must be told. The Epistle of Ephesians chapter 6:1-4 KJV sums it all up for you and me. Let us read it together from verse (1) “Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.”  (2) “Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;” (3) “That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.”  (4) “And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”

There are many questions without any answers but we as mothers must take a daily inventory of our own lives and take a closer look at the way we are influencing our children, our husbands, friends, and our Neighbours. Let us examine our attitudes and behavior. Do we exercise self-control? When we become angry, do we resort to calling our children ill names? Are we respectful with our husbands? These are only a few of the many questions which need an answer. Do you realize the way we react influences how our children will respond to challenging situations and the level of respect they will exhibit for others? Sometimes if we choose the effortless way out of a situation and fail to do it the correct way, as a result, our children will become lazy. The way husbands and wives treat each other can influence their children to disrespect or respect their spouses and, in some cases, can cause them to be resentful to their spouses. Truth be known, it is quite challenging in-home life. There is a saying though that, A man’s house is his castle and that speaks volumes of his wife who is the keeper of his castle. Home life is also particularly important and plays an integral part in the stability of children. We must go back to God’s standard for the home.

Every boy and girl need their father and mother. Mothers cannot be a father to their children and fathers likewise a father cannot be a mother. Mothers, please do not deny your children the privilege of their father. Fathers do not disown your children; this is a terrible thing to do to a child and it will influence them in a negative manner. The truth is only, God, can heal a child who has been denied by their parents. If you have done this to any of your children, please it is never too late while you are still alive to say you are sorry and ask for forgiveness as this helps in the healing process. As we celebrate this Mother’s Day let us include the fathers as they come along, side the mothers. Mothers do not speak any negative words against the fathers, instead, mother, build, him up and decree and declare him to be the father of your children according to Yahweh’s Mandate for his life. When you do this and your children hear you speak so highly of their father, they too would have a correct perspective of him as their father.

Take note, that one night in which I was feeling so tired and took that shortcut used the uncomplicated way out and put my stockings on my head. I soon regretted it when I saw how my being lazy and failure to persevere in the search for my satin cap. This became a teachable lesson for me and caused me to realize that everything I do my children are watching and because of the influence I have on them. It is important that I influence them in a positive way in all areas of my life. The stocking cap was negative, and it influenced my two daughters so much that each time they were not able to find their satin cap they reached for the stockings to put on their heads.

As I hasten to conclude this message. How have you and I used the Power of Influence? The Book of Proverbs comes to mind and sums it up so beautifully from chapter 31:30-31. Verse (30) “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Verse (31) “Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.”    The Power of Influence!

Let us Pray:

Heavenly Father, thank you for Your Word. In the Name of Jesus move by Your Spirit and breathe upon the one who has read this message. I pray for recovery of the family relationship as we celebrate Mother’s Day. Divinely intervene in every home in this nation and across the globe. Father, rebuild the prayer altar in the home. Turn the hearts of husbands and wives to each other and restore their children to a right relationship with their parents. Let this Special Day be one long to be remembered. Give us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to use the Power of Influence to bring about reconciliation and a loving atmosphere in our homes. In Jesus Name!

Enjoy your Special Day Mother!

High Noon Alert

close up shot of a woman praying

Some years ago, throughout the land there was an awakening among people from every social class and they were going in droves to the house of God for prayer at mid-day. Get this, many of them even took their lunch hour just to go and pray!

While there are still people who consistently pray during the noon day hour there are far too many of us who have fallen away from high noon prayer. The question is though, have you (me too) been too busy to take time to pray at this critical hour? Have you allowed yourself (me too) to become distracted or even gotten lazy in prayer?

Be it known to you this day high noon can be an opportunity to pray against the mid-day curse and the plans of the enemy – read it from the book of Deuteronomy 28:29 NKJV (29) “And you shall grope at noonday, as a blind man gropes in darkness; you shall not prosper in your ways; you shall be only oppressed and plundered continually, and no one shall save you.”

The enemy (Satan) has been launching vicious attacks on the people of God especially during this high point of the day – there is an urgent clarion call for all the men and women of valor, especially the keepers at home wherever you are making it a priority to pray at noon!

Just last week I had an experience I shall not soon forget – the telephone rang and I became distracted from prayer, someone who had a key opened the garage door to  my home and came in, it was the sound of the door closing that really bothered me hold on – there is someone at my door, I said to the young lady on the other end of the telephone – she replied, “Okay”.  It was very startling to discover there was no one there and the door was closed – glancing over at the clock it read 12:15 p.m., instantly I recognized I had been distracted from being on the prayer wall at twelve noon – I said to the person on the other end of the telephone, “I will call you back.” It was now well past high noon and there was an unsettling presence in my home – then I saw it as it stood in the foyer with a wide form. The Word spoke from Psalm 91:4-6. NKJV (4) “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.” (5) “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day,” (5) “Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.”

I began to walk through my house being unctioned to pray fervently suddenly the evil spirit then made his exit slamming the door on his way out – my home took on an atmosphere as if it had just rained upon the earth!

High noon prayer with consistency can establish a defense against the vicious plans of the enemy to oppress and rob you in everything you do, continue to seek earnestly for God and pray against the enemy at high noon!

As I pondered on with great indignation and wanted to know who this evil spirit was, or could it be a familiar spirit? Or could it be a human spirit who travels by astral projection and dares come into my home and behave as though he is the owner! The Word interrupted me from Isaiah 59:18-19 (18) “According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries,
recompense to His enemies; the coastlands He will fully repay.”   (19) “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.”

Then I repented of my anger and remembered Ephesians 6:12-18 (12) “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”  (13) “Therefore, take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”   (14)  “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,”  (15) and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;”  (16)  “above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.”  (17) “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;” (18) “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.”

Just as it was some years ago throughout the entire land where people from every walk of life were taking time from their busy schedules to go and pray in The LORD’S House at High Noon so shall it be in the weeks and years to come – people are going to hear The Call; even now you are being stirred to pray especially during this high point of the day and as a result of your obedience (me too) you will be able to say personally with bold confidence from Ecclesiastes 4:1 NKJV “I will not be oppressed under the sun; I have the Comforter the Holy Spirit!”

Can you hear the clarion High Noon Prayer Alert? Pray! Pray! Pray especially for you who are keepers of your homes!

Pray consistently and persistently at High Noon each day! Be encouraged and empowered by God’s Holy Spirit to “Pray without ceasing!” Much Love!

Empowered to Serve

a woman wearing hijab serving the food on the table

He gently awakened me holding my hand leading me to the dining room; humbly I bowed my knees in awe of Him. I prayed earnestly yet found it increasingly difficult for I did not know what to say to Him; my eyes were becoming so heavy and filled with sleep. I turned to get up from my knees feeling frustrated I wanted to back to my bed; immediately though His voice of comfort and love spoke so soothingly, “Don’t go, stay with Me,” His words have changed my life forever! Something fascinating happened while I knelt beside the wooden chair at the dining room table. It is the place where Abba Father turned my darkness into light for me. He turned my sorrow into joy and filled my mouth with laughter. I call this experience my Ebenezer encounter which I shall never forget. Then I listened attentively to more of Abba Father’s instructions, “Bring forth the fruit of your labour working with your hands that which you were predestined to do; He said, many stand to oppose you, the nay Sayers and the dream killers shoot out of their mouths hurtful bitter words but I have fully armored and equipped you to not only with stand their verbal attacks but their words are being reversed on to themselves. The tool of discouragement cannot derail or distract you for the Greater Encourager Himself, the Holy Spirit abides within you furthermore the Great Commander has already won this battle. Now it is time for you to bring forth; continue to labour in prayer and to travail. Keep on walking the floor and making intercessions for lost souls. Pray consistently for broken and wounded souls to be saved, healed, and delivered. Abba Father continued to speak to me as I sat in awe, “Bring forth the beautiful ministry birthed in pain,” and in response, I wept as 1 Peter 4:12 -13 came to mind, (12)” Beloved do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial, which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you.” (13)” But rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad about exceeding joy.” Abba Father spoke again to me, “You have been tried in the fire now you have been approved, continue to bring forth in prayer, I have empowered you to serve with humility and grace to stand elegantly and completely adorned in My whole Armour no foe can disarm, conquer the one whom I have empowered to serve, and the gates of hell shall not prevail. Empowered to serve and help the wounded ones who have lost their way. Empowered to serve to lead each one who will heed the God’s call to come and feast at the table already prepared. I count it an honour to be empowered to serve at the master’s disposal to do Abba Father’s perfect will.

Blindsided

yellow and purple clouds

Marriage? Yes, marriage is really a ministry! Says who, you may ask?

Well, can you hear the word resounding from the book of Colossians?

3:18-19 (18)”Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the

Lord,” (19)”Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.”

Ephesians 5:33 “Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his

Own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”

Sadly though, husbands and wives have been blindsided by neglect and

Procrastination, which is the thief of time, the silent treatment, dominating,

Disrespect, mistrust, and jealousy. This list can go on and are like vices eating

Away at the very core of your marriage relationship. You have been blindsided!

Husbands, do you find yourselves too busy to pick-up the telephone and call

Your wife and say, “Honey, I just called to tell you I love you?” or to come home

To eat dinner with the family? When was the last time you held even a conversation

With your wife? How much longer are you going to procrastinate displaying just

How much you really love her? Wives, you too have been blind sided. When are

You going to consistently wash and iron your husband’s clothes and cook his

Food without burning up the pot? What about keeping his castle freshly cleaned.

When was the last time you clipped his finger and toe nails, or anointed him with

Oil? The word is speaking this time from the book of Romans 12:21 “Do not be

Overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Pause and calmly think about

This. In every car there is a blind spot, so as you know one must always utilize the

Two sides and the rear view mirrors. Still the blind spot remains. So it is in marriage

Relationships, there are blind spots that only Yahweh, the God who redeems can

Give the revelation.

Today (me too) lets ask Abba Father to take the blinders off so you can minister His

Love to your spouse without being judgmental. Make it a priority to speak kind words

To each other, seek to build each other. It is also very important to accept each other

For who you are, tender loving care is much needed and you will see bitterness and wrath

Flee away. Take precaution, make sure Jesus Christ is at the helm, for it is only He who

Will keep you from being blind sided. Husbands and wives it is time to take a stand, make

A one hundred percent 100% effort to display the love of Jesus Christ to each other. You

Will never ever be blind sided and your relationship with each other will grow by leaps and

Bounds! Marriage? Yes, marriage is a ministry which cannot afford to be blindsided!

SCRIPTURE FOR YOU TO MEDITATE ON
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors
through Him who loves us.” Romans 8:37
HAVE A BLESSED DAY !

Where is Your Threshing Floor?

Be it known to you this day whenever Yahweh is breaking through on every side that you maintain your threshing floor. Never get caught up in the detail of attempting to number what or how God is winning the victory. For He far exceeds your expectation of Him. Be alert at all times! Let’s read what happened to the children of Israel when King David numbered the people in the book of 1 Chronicles chapter twenty- one beginning from, the verse (1) “And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel. (2) “And David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people. Go, to the rulers of the people. Go number Israel from Beersheba even Dan, and bring the number of them to me, that I may know it.” (3) “And Joab answered, The LORD make his people a hundred times so much more as they are: but my Lord the King, are they not at all my Lord’s servants? Why then doth my lord require this thing? Why will he be a trespass to Israel? It is a dangerous thing not to listen to wise counselors whom God has placed in your life. Let’s read about how King David’s word prevailed over Joab’s wise counsel given to King David. Verse (4) “Nevertheless the King’s word prevailed against Joab. Wherefore Joab departed, and went throughout all Israel, and came to Jerusalem.” (5) “And Joab gave the sum of the number of people unto David. And all they of Israel were a thousand and a hundred thousand men that drew sword: and Judah was for hundred threescore and ten thousand men that drew the sword, and Judah was for hundred thousand men that drew a sword. (6) “But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among them: For the Kind’s word was abominable to Joab.” This thing that King David had done had angered God and it caused the entire nation to
Suffer, many died too. (7) “And God was displeased with this thing: therefore, He smote Israel.” Take careful note, God spoke to David’s seer whose name was Gad. Verse (9) “And the LORD Spake unto Gad, David’s seer, saying,” (10) “Go and tell David, saying, thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things: choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.” (11) “So, Gad came to David, and said unto him, thus saith the LORD, choose thee (12) “Either three years famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee; or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coast of Israel. Now, therefore, advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me.” Pause for a moment to inhale, now exhale as you read of David’s reply to his seer from the verse (13) “And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.” (14) “So, the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men.”
Where you are on your journey you may be experiencing a bountiful harvest, you may have become very popular and perhaps busy in your ministry. On the other hand, there are many who quietly go about doing mighty exploits for the LORD, but I hear loud, where is your threshing floor? Kindly bear with me as you read verse (15) “And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and He repented Him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, it is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite. What happened next is incredible. Verse (16) “And David lifted up his eyes and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces. The anger of the LORD was still kindled against King David. Verse (17) “And David said unto God, is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? Even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed, but as for these sheep, what have they done? Let thine hand, I pray thee, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father’s house but not on thy people, that they should be plagued. I hear it again, where is your threshing floor?
No matter how busy you may have become do not allow yourself to become absent from your threshing floor. Take careful note of where the LORD stopped the angel of the LORD to stop killing. It was at Ornan the Jebusite threshing floor. Read now what David seer’s message of instructions from the LORD in response to His repentant plea from the verse (18) “Then the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto the LORD in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite. Obedience is key to your breakthrough on the threshing floor, but where is your threshing floor? Verse (19) “And David went up at the saying of Gad, which he spake in the name of the LORD.”
It was really early during the morning when Abba, Father gave me this word from Chronicles chapter twenty-one and He asked me this question, where is your threshing floor? I was away from home, but in the room that I was it became my threshing floor! Listen, you will not only experience breakthroughs, but the supernatural power of Yahweh will envelop you but where is your threshing floor?

Torn Between Two Loves

” And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel,
that there was a certain Levite staying in the remote mountains of
Ephraim. He took for himself a concubine from Bethlehem in Judah.
Judges 19:1-2. NKJV. ” It is very important for you to take note of
who the Levites were. The following information is taken from Nelson’s
New Illustrated Bible Dictionary.  ” Levites were descendants if Levi
who served as assistants to the priests in the worship system of the
nation of Israel. As Levites, Aaron and his sons and their descendants
were charged with the responsibility of the priesthood offering burnt
offerings and leading the people in worship and confession. But all the
other Levites who were not descended directly from Aaron were to serve
as priestly assistants, taking care of the tabernacle and the temple and
performing other menial duties ( Numbers 8:6 ). The choice of the Levites
as a people who would perform special service for God goes back to the
days of the Exodus when the children of Israel were camped at Mt. Sinai.
The people grew restless while they waited for Moses to return from talking
with the Lord on the mountain. Breaking their covenant with God, they made
a golden calf and began to worship it. The Levites were no less guilty than
the other tribes. But when Moses returned and called for those on the Lord’s
side to come forward, the descendants of Levi were the only ones who
voluntarily rallied to his side; showing zeal for God’s honor (Exodus 32:26-28).”
Now while it is not unusual for Levites to live in their own cities. It is important
to understand that the Levites partook of the Holy things of Yahweh and lived
consecrated lives. Yet this particular Levite spoken of earlier went and got for
himself a concubine, he became torn between two loves. Read what happens in
verse two of Judges 19. (2) ” But his concubine played the harlot against him,
and went away from him to her father’s house at Bethlehem in Judah, and was
there for whole two months. (3) ” Then her husband arose and went after her,
to speak kindly to her and bring her back, having his servant and a couple of
donkeys with him. So,, she brought him into her father’s house; and when the
father of the young woman saw him, he was glad to meet him. ” This Levite,
instead of chasing after God, and performing his priestly duties, he found him
self torn between two loves. For he loved God too; yet he had a deeper passion
for his concubine even though she was stepping out on him so to speak. He still
wanted very much to be with her. As it turns out the Levite stayed at his concubine
father’s house for five days at his insistence; however, on the fifth day during the
afternoon, he departed with his concubine. Being unaware that the journey home
would be a treacherous one, in the city Gibeah which he chose to spend the night
for the sun had gone down on them, and they were still very far from home. Sadly
in Gibeah, no one would take them in for the night. So, they sat in the square of this
city. Do you not know in spite of Abba Father always makes a way? Read (16) ”
Just then an old man came in from his work in the field at evening, who also was
from the mountains of Ephraim; he was staying in Gibeah, whereas the men of
the place were Benjamites. ” (17) ” And when he raised his eyes, he saw the traveler
in  the square of the city, and the old man said, where are you going, and where do
you come from? ” (21) ” So he brought him into his house and house and gave fodder to the
donkeys. And they washed their feet and ate and drank. ” (22) ” As they were en-
joying themselves, suddenly certain men of the city. Perverted men surrounded the
house and beat on the door. They spoke to the master of the house, the old man saying;
bring out the man who came to your house, that we may know him carnally! ”
(23) ” But the man, the master of the house, went out to them, ” No, my brethren!
I beg you, do not act so wickedly! Seeing this man has come into my house; do not
commit this outrage. ” (24) ” Look, here is my virgin daughter and the man’s
concubine, ” Let me bring them out now. Humble them, and do with them as you please,
but to this man do not do such a vile thing! ” Now take note of what the Levite himself
did in verse (25) ” But the men would not heed him. So, the man took his concubine and
brought her out to them. And they knew her and abused her all night until morning, and
when the day began to break, they let her go. ” (26) ” Then the woman came as the day
was dawning and fell down at the door of the man’s house where her master was till it
was light. ” (27) ” When her master arose in the morning, and opened the doors of the
house and went out to go his way, there was his concubine, fallen at the door of the house
with her hands on the threshold. ” (28) ” And he said to her, ” Get up and let us be going.”
But there was no answer. So, the man lifted her onto the donkey; and the man got up and
went to his place. ” This Levite was so torn between two loves so much, so it seemed as
if he had forgotten the God whom he served. He did not pray. Read what he did as soon
as he arrived at his home. (29) ” When he entered his house he took a knife, laid hold of
his concubine, and dived her into twelve pieces, limb by limb, and sent her throughout all
the territory of Israel. ” This act shook up all of Israel. Read their response to seeing
such a gruesome sight. (30) ” And so it was that all who saw it said, ” No such deed has
been done or seen from the day that the children of Israel came up from the land of
Egypt until this day. Consider it, confer, and speak up! ” Question is; Are you and I as
men and women of God partaking of the Holy things of Yahweh and are torn between two loves? loves? For the Levite, it was his concubine which caused him not to go after the
God he served and loved. He did not pray and ask for any help and directions
during his time of crisis. What is even worse, he never repented before the Lord. In fact
when the old man, who had taken him into his home asked him where he was going. He
told him he was going to the house of the Lord. Read it for yourself from (11) ” Now
I am going to the house of the LORD. But there is no one who will take me into his
house. ” Pause for a moment take a deep breath in….. Breathe out! Now calmly
think about this (me too) Are you torn between two loves? Who or what is it causing
you not to hunger and thirst after Yahweh like you used to do? Not fasting before Him ?
Not getting involved in Church Ministry anymore? Torn between two loves, not spending
time in the secret place of His presence like you used to. Prayer? What about prayer,
you may ask? Do you remember when you used to be in front of Him all night? Now
most of the time you are slumbering in your bed and missing those vital appointments
with Him! Men of Yahweh, you may not have a concubine (sweetheart), women of Yahweh,
you may not be stepping out on your husbands. Yet I hear it resounding again, torn between
two loves. You and I must take inventory daily of our lives, for God is very displeased !
What is it that is causing you to be torn between two loves? The alarm is ringing relentlessly.
The watch towers all around the globe are being left unattended, the prayer warriors, and
intercessors have fallen into a deep sleep. The gates of the cities are swinging wide open,
and the gate keepers are nowhere to be found, and the enemy has crept in unawares reaking
havoc all over the world!
In conclusion. Let us not be like the Levite, who took matters into his own hands seeking
revenge for the death of his concubine. Instead let us repent in godly sorrow and put to death
carnality, the works of the flesh seeking Abba Father’s forgiveness and be true and faithful

only to Him, never to be torn between two loves ever again!

The Jericho Road

On the way to your divine destiny, you will experience many encounters,
hurt, and pain. You may get ambushed a few times and even left for dead
by those close to you. Leaving you stripped of everything but Yahweh.
Read this parable Jesus told of the Good Samaritan taken from the book

of Luke 10:30-35. (30) ” A certain man went down from Jerusalem

to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing wounded
him, and departed, leaving him half dead. (31) ” Now by chance a certain priest
came down that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
(32) ” Likewise, a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked and
passed by on the other side (33) ” But a certain Samaritan as he journeyed, came
where he was and when he saw him, he had compassion. (34) ” So, he went
to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, and he set him on
his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. (35) ” On the next
day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and
said to him. Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again,
I will repay you. ”

Like Jericho Road, the journey to your divine destiny is extremely dangerous. Therefore
you must stay in the secret place of Yahweh’s abiding presence; taking vital steps to
discipline yourself to study the word, meditate in it, and search it constantly. Yielding
all of self will to His perfect will and purpose. Fasting often as you regurgitate on the
word. Yet you will still have an experience like the man on the Jericho Road. The good

news is ringing like a bell from Isaiah 54:17 ” No weapon formed against you

shall prosper. And every tongue which rises against you in judgement you shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me, says
the LORD. ” In Jesus’ parable of the good Samaritan. The thieves had beaten the man so
severely, they thought he would die, and they assured themselves that no one would
help him anyway, so they left him there. Can I tell you? In what you are walking in your enemy
(Satan) thought for sure you would die. Yet what the enemy did not know is that Yahweh has a
good Samaritan whom He will demonstrate His power and love through in His divine timing;
to catapult to that vital place in Him! Be it known to you on this day despite all you are going
through. You will make it safe as you travel to your divine destiny even as you encounter the
Jericho road; where thieves and derailers attempt to distort and destroy your character.
Attempting to destroy your witness for Jesus Christ. Suddenly as lightning flashes from the
East, Jehovah Gibbor is arising even now to deal with your derailers, and all of those who are
assassinating your character. Yes! Like hot thunder bolts, the enemy is fleeing in seven different
ways. Abba Father is your Great Defender, and He is taking care of you like the Good Samaritan
took care of the wounded man in Jesus’ parable. You will recover and receive the Resurrection
power of Jesus Christ on the Jericho Road! Come on give Yahweh, the God who redeems,

give Him praise for your Jericho Road experience for it is bringing you even closer to your divine
destiny!
